Not a day longer or shorter than it takes for the body to accept the recovering and healing process. Generally, there are three phases of recovery:

1. Acute Chiropractic Care: Intensive care to minimize pain and inflammation. At this stage, the chiropractic treatments are closer together to produce a faster and effective results.

2. Reconstructive or Connective Chiropractic Care: Care to retrain and strengthen injured areas. At this stage, the chiropractic treatments are spread apart and patient is more involved and active in his/her care.

3. Maintenance Chiropractic Care: Care which involves an occasional visit or check-up in order to maintain spinal alignment and optimal level of health and wellness. The purpose of maintenance chiropractic care is to assure that you receive treatment BEFORE the symptoms develop again. At this phase of chiropractic treatment, the patient comes in depending on his/her condition. It is highly recommended to come for a check-up and a treatment once a month.
